Field work recently kicked off for the Atlantic BRS project field season and we're happy to say that things appear much more "normal" compared to 2024 when Ziphius were relatively scarce at the Hatteras study site. The field team has been out on the water several days since Saturday and has already seen some well known individuals as well as two mom-calf pairs. Most importantly, they were able to deploy two satellite telemetry tags on adults that will help relocate groups for more tag deployments just prior to the first scheduled controlled exposure experiment of the year later in July.
