Whale Identification Logging and Display (WILD) Software available

Initially WILD Software was sponsored by the ONR and developed by the SSC Pacific to provide a tool for recording marine mammal data associated with surveys and mitigation measures to support Navy at sea activities.

The primary mission of WILD however was to support the Navy's Behavioral Response Studies (BRS).  WILD's first success was in the MED-09 sea trials in the Western Mediterranean in the summer of 2009.  From 2010 to the present WILD software has been an integral component of the BRS studies.  In addition to the BRS, WILD software has been used in a variety of animal surveys both stationary and at sea.
