LMR News: Spring 2015 Issue

The latest issue of LMR News, The Navy's Living Marine Resource program quarterly newsletter, is now available online at http://www.lmr.navy.mil/NewsLetters.htm.  This issue provides specific information on multiple program and partnership projects. This quarter’s Project Spotlight presents two related projects, “Automated Signal Processing for Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM),” and “Technology Demonstration for Fleet Passive Acoustic Monitoring.“ We also have a project summary of a collaboration between the LMR program and the Environmental Security Technology Certification Program (ESTCP)—“Autonomous Real-Time Passive Acoustic Monitoring of Baleen Whales.” The LMR Program Participant Update section presents an important effort in which LMR Advisory Committee member Mike Weise of ONR is active—“Animal Telemetry Network: Coordinating Wide-ranging Data to Advance Knowledge of Aquatic Species.”
